The Michigan League Board of Governors, made up of students and faculty, advises the League Director in matters of policy and practice and acts as advocates for the Michigan League. They promote the heritage of the Michigan League, oversee the operations of the Friends of the Michigan League and provide assistance for League projects.
In past years, this group has been instrumental in setting up dinner theatre productions in the Ballroom and Hussey Room and planning and executing the League's 75th Anniversary Celebration in 2004.
The MLBG had several important accomplishments in 2007/2008 including:
- Amending the By-Laws to allow the President of the Friends of the Michigan League to have a vote on the board
- Expanding the House and Scholarship committees to include non-board members if desired
- Increasing the McCormick and Lawson scholarships for 2008.
- Participating in the RFP process for a new food vendor resulting in the successful selection of Taco Bell Express.
- Through the work of the House Committee, completing renovation of the Ballroom.
