Welcome!

We appreciate your interest in University Unions at the University of Michigan. Our three facilities offer a wide range of spaces, services and resources that will accommodate most any meeting or event need. The Michigan League and Michigan Union, on Central Campus, offer our clients a tradition of excellence established over 100 years ago and continuing to this day.  Pierpont Commons offers a more contemporary facility with  international flair in the heart of North Campus. Whichever location suits your needs, we will provide you and your guests  superb food and attentive service.

How to schedule a room in University Unions facilities if you are a:

University Departments 

Whether it's a coffee meeting for a few or a large symposium, you can trust us to handle all of the details of your department event. University Unions offers its rooms and services to University departments at discounted rates. 

To schedule a room:

1. Call our main line at 734-764-8837 or set up an account to request rooms online. To determine space availability we will need your event date, event times and room set up needs.

2. To confirm a reservation, we will need your shortcode. Additionally, if your department does not have an annual tax exemption form on file with us, we may need you to submit a tax exemption form. 

3. Though we make every effort to accommodate all requests, we prefer to get food service details a minimum of three weeks in advance. Final counts for food are due one week in advance. (All food service must be provided by the facility. No outside food or alcohol may be brought in). University Catering is ready to serve you!

4. Department users are welcome to bring in their own audio visual equipment or take advantage of our discounted AV rental rates for departments: Union/League AV Rates; Pierpont AV Rates

Non-University Users 

University Unions offers our facilities and services to  groups not affiliated with the University.

To schedule a room:

1. Call our main line at 734-764-8837. To determine space availability we need your event date (s), event times and room set up & AV needs. (Michigan Union/Michigan League AV Rates; Pierpont Commons AV Rates)

2. To confirm a reservation, we will need full payment of your room rental. To pay by credit card, please fax a completed credit card authorization form.

3. Though we make every effort to accommodate all requests, we prefer to get food service details a minimum of three weeks in advance. Final counts for food and beverages are due one week in advance. (All food service must be provided by the facility. No outside food or alcohol may be brought in.) University Catering is ready to serve you!

Student Organizations 

We are ready to help you with your meeting or event at the Michigan Union, Michigan League or Pierpont Commons. Please come visit our offices in these buildings or call us at 734-764-8837. More Student Organization information

To schedule a room:

1. Call our main line at 764-8837 or request online. To determine space availability we need your event date (s), event times and room set up & AV needs. (Michigan Union/'Michigan League AV Rates; Pierpont Commons AV Rates.

2. To confirm a reservation, we will need your Student Organization Account Services (SOAS) shortcode.

3. Though we make every effort to accommodate all requests, we prefer to get food service details a minimum of three weeks in advance. Final counts for food are due one week in advance. (All food service must be provided by the facility. No outside food or alcohol may be brought in). University Catering is ready to serve you with a special student menu.
