Holiday Hours

During the Thanksgiving break University Unions will have limited building hours:

  • Michigan Union: Wednesday 7am-9pm, Thursday and Friday Closed, Saturday – 7am – 11pm, Sunday – 9am – 2am
  • Michigan League: Will be closed Wednesday, November 24 at 5pm through Sunday, November 29.
  • Pierpont Commons:  Will be closed Wednesday, November 24 at 6pm through Sunday, November 29.

Friday Happy Hours – Every Friday in the Michigan League and Michigan Union from 3-6 PM and at Pierpont Commons from 3-5 PM.  Special discounts at the restaurants and retailers to start your weekend off right!

Hidden Jewels

What you may not know that's in the Unions:

  • The Michigan League Underground features fan favorite eateries Taco Bell Express and Wendy's and the Cyber Lounge for fun on the computer.
  • There are Xbox and Wii gaming stations with flat screens in the Michigan Union Billiards and Games Room (second floor).
  • Barnes & Noble Bookstores in the Union and Pierpont Commons offer a wide selection of U of M t-shirts, sweatshirts and many spirit accessories.
  • Over 50 student organizations have offices on the 4th floor of the Union.
  • There are several galleries featuring local artists in all three Union buildings.

So come explore these hidden jewels!

Summertime Grillin'

Come escape the summer heat in the air-conditioned comfort of the Michigan Union Grill (MUG). The MUG is home to seven of our eateries, as well as lots of booths and tables, computer stations, printer and television. Located on the ground floor, the MUG is open Monday - Saturday 7am to 2 am and Sunday 9 am to 2 am. So whether you are looking to escape the heat, grab a quick snack, have a group study session, or find a late-night study spot, the Michigan Union Grill is a great place to drop in this summer!
