As a major resource for over 12,000 students, faculty, staff and visitors on North Campus, Pierpont Commons offers diverse retail operations and services, places to relax, meeting and conference spaces and more.

There is also a Barnes & Noble bookstore, U-Go's Convenience store, North Campus Information Center, student lounges, recreation space (with large screen TV, pool table and e-mail stations), Computer Showcase, UM Credit Union and ATMs. Campus support offices such as the Department of Public Safety, University Catering, and Office of Financial Aid, plus a Reflection Room and several conference rooms help serve the community, as well. For program assistance and information, the Center for Campus Involvement office produces and promotes exhibits, musical events, and other programs featuring students and student groups.
