Galleries
One mission of student unions worldwide is to bring art into public spaces. Whether you want to enjoy student and community artwork or just relax in a gallery, University Unions provides several options in all of our buildings. From the Michigan Union Art Lounge, well-suited for individual study, to the bustling Beanster’s Café Exhibits in the League, or several galleries at Pierpont, you can find something to appeal to your artistic interests.
All of the exhibit spaces are managed by University Unions Arts and Programs. If you are interested in exhibiting, information can be found on the University Unions Arts and Program's exhibits page.
Music
If you're looking to practice your Mozart or just enjoy listening to others play, visit the three Piano rooms in the Unions: Union Art Lounge, Union Practice Room and Pierpont Piano Lounge. In addition, Arts and Programs sponsors several musical events including Beats 'n Eats, which features musical performances in the MUG on a regular basis. You can also enjoy lunch with piano accompaniment occasionally in the U-Club.
