A true staple of the Michigan League on Central Campus lies the intimate Mendelssohn Theater, a small shoe-box theatre. The solid oak paneling creates a warm setting filled with elegance and charm. Frequently used for theatricdal productions and solo recitals, the theater is one of the few theaters in the United States with a "cylcorama," a curved wall at the back of the stage, which offers enhanced sound and creative lighting effects. The School of Music, Theater and Dance regularly hosts performances in the theater, and we invite you to view their event calendar to check out their performances at the Mendelssohn Theater (and other venues). In addition, other organizations, including the Center for Campus Involvement, use this beautiful space for a variety of performances and events. The Happening @ Michigan calendar features events at Mendelssohn, also.
