Consider these back-to-school tips to help transition into the new semester with ease.
Books & Supplies
In store: Find all the school supplies (and gear) you need at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore at Pierpont Commons.
Online: Easily find textbooks with Barnes & Nobles’ Online Bookstore. Search options ranging from used, new, rental, or digital, and simply pick up orders on-campus at Pierpont Commons or the lower level of Shapiro Library.
Food & Drink
Central Campus: Whether you’re in need for a quick snack or a filling meal, Maizie’s at the Michigan League has everything from bagels to triple bean salads to satisfy your hunger needs. Peet’s Coffee & Tea also supplies a delicious range of coffees, teas, and hot chocolate for your afternoon break.
In the mood for something new? The Local Plate at Maizie’s serves lunch from 11 AM-2 PM with a rotating schedule of local restaurants, like Chela’s, Earthen Jar, or Bangkok Express.
North Campus: Pierpont Commons’ lower level is home to student-favorite restaurants like Panda Express or Ahmo’s Gyro & Deli. For creative menu options or fresh grab-and-go items, visit Fireside Cafe in the building’s upper level, or take a coffee break at Fireside Roast’s all-day espresso bar.
Central Campus: The Michigan League is a short walk from North Quad, the Modern Languages Building (MLB), and the Central Campus Transit Center (CCTC). From group studying to individual seating, the Michigan League has a spot for every kind of studier.
North Campus: Pierpont Commons has plenty of open and spacious study spaces. Settle in for a focused study in the Piano Lounge, or get inspired by the fireplace at Fireside Cafe.
