As you plan your upcoming visits to University Unions, be sure to update your schedule with the following winter break closing dates and revised hours. Come find a space to study, relax, hang out with friends, or do whatever it is you need to do!
Our restaurants and shops will be open but might have different hours, so be sure to check before you make a trip. Printing stations will also be available during open hours. You’ll find printing stations at the Michigan Union IdeaHub and Campus Computing Site, and in Pierpont Commons at the Piano Lounge and CAEN labs.

Michigan Union
The Michigan Union is open through December 23, with limited hours from December 20-23.
Regular hours through December 19:
- Monday – Saturday: 7am to 2pm
- Sunday: 9am to 2am
Limited hours from December 20-23:
- Open daily from 7am to 6pm
Closed – December 24 through January 2:
- The Michigan Union will close December 24 through January 2.
Pierpont Commons
Pierpont Commons is open through December 23, with limited hours from December 20-23.
Regular hours through December 19:
- Monday – Friday: 7am to 11pm
- Saturday: 10am to 11pm
- Sunday: 11am to 11pm
Limited hours from December 20-23:
- Open daily from 7am to 5pm
Closed – December 24 through January 2:
- Pierpont Commons will close December 24 through January 2.
Michigan League
The Michigan League is open through December 23, with limited hours from December 20-23.
Regular hours through December 19:
- Monday – Thursday: 7am to 11pm
- Friday – Saturday: 7am to 12am
- Sunday: 7am to 11pm
Limited hours from December 20-23:
- Open daily from 8am to 5pm
Closed – December 24 through January 2:
- The Michigan League will close December 24 through January 2.
