University Unions offers over-the-counter and full-service catering options for meetings and events held at the Michigan Union and Pierpont Commons.
If you are planning on catering your meeting or event, please inform your Event Manager when you reserve the meeting/event space. This ensures that your space is prepared for food service, including necessary tables.
Full-Service Catering
If you are planning a comprehensive catering experience, including set-up and linen service, contact Michigan Catering. They are the exclusive provider for full-service catering for University Unions.
Over-the-Counter Catering
Over-the-Counter Catering allows you to select from a variety of retail food vendors located within the Michigan Union and Pierpont Commons. Here’s how it works:
- Order and Pickup: Order ahead and then pick up your order directly from the vendor’s counter.
- Self-Setup: Transport the food to your reserved meeting or event space.
Panda Express
Located in the Michigan Union and Pierpont Commons.
Choose from delectable creations such as zesty orange flavored chicken, beef with broccoli, or spicy kung pao chicken, with a variety of sizes and options.
How to Order: Order ahead at least 2 hours before pickup. Order online from these locations: Michigan Union or Pierpont Commons.

Located in the Michigan Union.
Choose from hot and cold sandwiches, salads, soups, and mac & cheese, bagels, pastries, hot breakfast sandwiches, parfaits, fresh fruit, desserts, and a variety of beverage totes.
How to Order: Order ahead at least 3 days in advance. For large orders (over 50 guests), we request 5-7 days.

Choose from premium coffee and teas, delicious sweet treats, sandwiches, and more.
How to Order: Order ahead using the Mobile App. For larger orders, order from the catering menu at least 24 hours before pickup.

Located in the Michigan Union.
Choose from a variety of flavorful, customizable dishes including tacos, burritos, and bowls. Plus, add queso and guac for free on any entrée!
How to Order: Order ahead at least 24 hours before pickup. For groups larger than 100, we request at least 72 hours.

The Great Greek
Located in Pierpont Commons.
Choose from traditional Greek dishes such as gyros, salads, dips, and more.
How to Order: Order ahead at least 24 hours before pickup. We may be able to accommodate orders in as little as four hours, however, the menu could be limited.
