Art Lounge

The Art Lounge mixes the function of a gallery and study lounge to create an intriguing exhibit space with a comfortable atmosphere for studying. Students primarily create the exhibited artwork; however, works by other members of the University and greater community are occasionally featured. In addition to artwork, the lounge also houses a grand piano, open to the University community. Exhibiting information
Location: 1st floor of Michigan Union, on south side of building, adjacent to the Campus Information Center
Hours: Monday - Saturday 7:00am to 2:00am; Sunday 9:00am to 2:00am
 

Piano Practice Room

The piano practice room is available during Michigan Union building hours for those in need of rehearsal space. Please go to the Campus Information Center (CIC) desk, located on the first floor near the east entrance and provide ID in exchange for the key.
Location: 3rd floor, just north of the passenger elevator
Hours: Monday - Saturday 7am to 2am; Sunday 9am to 2am

Performances

Regular musical performances to enjoy at the Union include:

- Beats 'n Eats, sponsored by UUAP, featuring live music in the MUG on most Thursdays during the school year (11:00am to 1:00pm)
- U-Club - Enjoy a comfortable lunch accompanied by talented student piano players in the University Club. Check postings for performance times.
